Gdańsk, June 2014 – The next Polish-Norwegian scientific workshop
Between 25 and 27 June 2014, the second Polish-Norwegian workshop within the confines of project PRACTA took place in Gdansk/Jelitkowo. This time we focused on results of the first stage of doctors and patients’ examination. The main goal was to determine the scope and methods of e-learning course for doctors, the course which will be prepared by the PRACTA team over the next months. According to the project assumptions, the e-learning course should be evidence-based, that is based on empirical data reflecting real character of relationships the project is aimed at.
The workshop encompassed number of presentations of the results of statistical analyses regarding data collected and recorded in database before the end of May 2014. The following issues were presented and discussed:
1. Structure and determinants of appointment-related expectations of the primary health care (PHC) elderly patients 2. Determinants of active attitude towards treatment and health in the PHC elderly patients 3. Determinants of satisfaction with a visit in the PHC elderly patients 4. Doctors’ world: doctors’ interpersonal competencies (as reported by doctors) and their satisfaction with work 5. Relationship between doctors and patients perspectives of patients’ needs and doctors’ competencies.
The results were discussed in the context of the construction of an e-learning course and Norwegian experience in promotion of successful and active aging. At present the PRACTA team starts preparing e-learning programme for doctors. Our focus is a combination of properly selected knowledge with suitable educational forms using modern multimedia technologies.
