According to the premise, the PRACTA project was officially completed on February 28, 2017, but our activities related to it will be continued. Within the project we have managed to achieve all of the goals we have set, although some tasks required longer time than we expected.
On the days 8-9 December 2016 the international conference Together for Innovation In Health took place In Cracow, Poland (http://www.ncbr.gov.pl/aktualnosci/art,4759,rozpoczela-sie-konferencja-polsko-norweska.html). The host, Polish-Norwegian Research Programme invited PRACTA team to present the project among other research founded within the Norway Grants founding.
On 17th of November the seminar entitled “Diverse facets of activating the elderly in medical practice” took place to summarize three years of scientific research done in the project PRACTA – Activating the Elderly in Medical Practice.
To celebrate the World Osteoporosis Day, the interdisciplinary conference on osteoporosis-related issues was held on the 20th of October 2016 (link). Responding to the invitation from the Organizers, dr Mirosława Adamus presented selected results of the PRACTA project. The presentation, entitled: „The level of satisfaction after the visit at the doctors’ office among patients aged 50+ or….differences between expectations and subjective appraisal of their fulfillment. The results of the PRACTA project”, encompassed analyses of data regarding psychosocial expectations of patients and their fulfillment during a medical encounter.
Invited by the Attorneys' Club of Warsaw Bar Association, two representatives of PRACTA project - Joanna Chylińska PhD and Marta Rzadkiewicz PhD - presented the scope and results of the studies realized by the team.
On the 23.02.2016 the PRACTA team participated in the meeting on Coordinated Health Care programs in Poland. This project aims at elaboration and implementation of financial models, as well as organizational and medical standards, which allow to coordinate particular stages of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients within the National Health Fund (NHF). According to assumptions of the project, it is expected to increase both: efficacy and quality of the public health care system in Poland within a few years. The meeting gathered representatives of various institutions: the National Health Fund, Federation of Polish Patients, organizations monitoring quality of health care, the Bureau of the Commissioner for Patients’ Rights, the Government Population Council, and the World Bank.
On December 21, 2015 at the Department of Medical Psychology in Medical University of Warsaw a meeting of PRACTA team and representatives of the Section for Strategies and Developmental Projects, Department of Analysis and Strategies, the National Health Fund, Central Office in Warsaw took place.
At the end of October at the Palace in Otrebusy/ near Warsaw there was another, the third, Polish-Norwegian scientific workshop PRACTA. This time the aim was a summary of fully completed study of physicians and their patients, and the course of educational intervention.
At the turn of September and October the PRACTA project was presented at the Medical Faculty of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. The first meeting was held in the framework of the Polish study tour to Norway “Norway Grants - Public Health Initiative in Poland” organized by Otto Christian Rø from the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
