PRACTA in the meeting on Coordinated Health Care programs in Poland
On the 23.02.2016 the PRACTA team participated in the meeting on Coordinated Health Care programs in Poland. This project aims at elaboration and implementation of financial models, as well as organizational and medical standards, which allow to coordinate particular stages of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients within the National Health Fund (NHF). According to assumptions of the project, it is expected to increase both: efficacy and quality of the public health care system in Poland within a few years. The meeting gathered representatives of various institutions: the National Health Fund, Federation of Polish Patients, organizations monitoring quality of health care, the Bureau of the Commissioner for Patients’ Rights, the Government Population Council, and the World Bank.
The patients are meant to be at the centre of the coordinated health care, therefore, the objective of the meeting was to bring together and share various initiatives and solutions that focus on patients’ needs and satisfaction. Dr Marta Rzadkiewicz and dr Joanna Chylińska, representing our team, presented first data from the Practa on attitudes toward health and needs related to the medical visit („The needs related to medical visit reported by senior patients in primary health care”). We hope that Practa results will help to increase efficacy of the Coordinated Care Project.
We thank the Organizers for inviting us to present share our „hot” research results and for the atmosphere that facilitated sharing of thoughts and ideas!
