Invited by the Attorneys' Club of Warsaw Bar Association, two representatives of PRACTA project - Joanna Chylińska PhD and Marta Rzadkiewicz PhD - presented the scope and results of the studies realized by the team.
The seminar took place on the 15th of September 2016 and the subject regarded needs and possibilities of activating older adults in general practice facilities. The characteristic of patients' needs with special attention to gender differences was presented along with the influence of the intervention applied among GP on patient's attitudes toward health.
During a lively discussion the participants were keen to share their personal opinions and experiences. It seems that positive and negative reflections were equally distributed. Different needs, such as: continuous care of one doctor, to be diagnosed for asymptomatic diseases, attentive listening, receiving care, being treated seriously, to obtain efficient motivation to comply etc., were pointed out. The participants of the seminar emphasized also that the issues addressed in the research provided by our team are important and valuable as they concern their functioning in everyday life.
